I am on maternity leave this year, so I didn’t get a chance to go back to school shopping and I have been living in pajamas or my “comfy clothes,” because let’s face it: my son doesn’t care if I’m wearing Lululemon studio pants and a yellow shirt with a cactus on it.

Spring is here and so is conference season. I haven’t done this feature before; but now seems like a perfect time to curate an outfit from Talbots that is not only professional but fashionable.

My husband and I are making more time for dates this year; it was one of our “INs” for 2024 and staying home was definitely on our list of “OUTs.” For Valentine’s Day, we are doing dinner and a movie and this is the outfit I picked from Ricki’s and The Show Company.

I don’t know about you but I am most definitely getting behind the “Mob Wife” trend. Its sort of perfect for a chilly February; and it goes to show you that you don’t have to be frumpy to stay warm.

The key components to this look are a fluffy or “fur” coat, lots of sparkly or preferably gold jewelry and animal print.
